Beauty and the Beach

We camped in San Diego for a week in July. It was a fabulous vacation...lots of outside time, very active yet restful, lots of pleasure in eachother's company. It was so good to have my husband back after an intense semester of work and school! Lovely.

Special Friends!

Our dear friends from Utah came for a visit this summer. It's always such a joy to see them! Unfortunately, I only got photos of the Cross family and not the Oldhams. They appear in choir camp photos, but apparently I did not take out my camera as much as I thought! Sorry, dear friends!

Choir Camp

Our kids participated in Choir Camp again this summer. This year's musical was First Action Heroes and presented some stories of historical heroes of the Bible. It was fantastic to see and hear not only my own children, but so many kids I love! They grew in their knowledge and love of God! It was a highlight for us this year to have Audrey have a solo and a dancing part. She did a great job!

Summer Swim Team

Our kids stayed fit and cool this summer by participating in a recreational swim team. They practiced four evenings a week and competed early on Saturday mornings. It was fun to watch them grow and learn. It was a special joy to see Alex discover her butterfly. As our friend Michael said, "Who taught you how to fly?" It was beautiful to watch!

Informal Ballet Recital

Just before summer break the girls got to show off some of what they've learned in Ms. Stacey's class. They danced beautifully! Alex wants to continue, but not likely that the other two will.
